How to select the correct size

The size of the cycle is an important factor to take into account when choosing the best bicycle for children because it determines how readily they can handle it and how safe and enjoyable the journey will be. Normally, the size of the frame is used to categorize adult bicycles; however, the wheel size is used to categorize children's bicycles. In most cases, the ideal size can be determined by contrasting the child's inner leg size with the bike's wheel size. Refer to the size chart in the blog post below for further information.

Avoid choosing a larger size bike under the assumption that your children are growing more quickly; your children will struggle to handle the heavier bikes. Sometimes they have to reach further to grab the handlebar, causing the children extra discomfort. Always make sure the correct riding position is explained, such as how kids should hold the handlebars with a slight incline and their elbows at a 45-degree angle. Additionally, while making a bottom pedal stroke, the leg should be slightly bent.

In the table below, the letter 16T stands for a 16-inch wheel diameter. To choose the proper wheel size, measure the children's inseams as indicated below, then choose the corresponding wheel size.

SAFETY & STABILITY

Make sure that there are adequate chain guards available to prevent clothing, shoelaces, or any other kid-related things from getting caught in the chain and causing harm. For the sake of preventing pointless crashes, double examine the brakes' responsiveness and quality. Maintain the helmet as a part of the bike and make sure the bikes are painted with non-toxic paints. Check the frame's strength and construction to ensure the cycle's stability and dependability.

WEIGHT

Choose lighter bikes for improved handling and stability. The weight of the cycle must be less than 50% of the child's overall weight. For instance, a youngster who weighs 25 kg may want 10 to 12 kg of weight.

Wheels & Suspension

Since most children's bicycles lack suspension, their riding experience will be much enhanced by the wider wheels. And if your children are under the age of 10 or are complete beginners, we recommend going with top quality training wheels to offer greater safety. Big wheels also ensure greater steadiness.

Brakes

Please verify and ensure better brake quality while choosing kids' bikes. In every vehicle, the brakes are a life-saving component, and high-quality brakes are quite effective.
